Week 19: 2019 Winter Choice Weekly Order Form

Thank you for filling out the top section EVERY week. This helps us keep important information at hands reach on each report that we run.

Veggies

All produce is certified organic. The program is designed for you to order what you plan to eat each week.

Meat Section-FULL SPECTRUM MEMBERS ONLY

In our pricing, $20-30 per adult per week is budgeted towards meat. This doesn't restrict you to use this specific amount each week, but should give you an idea of what is an appropriate amount. Going over or under this amount is fine, but doing so in the extreme in either direction starts to make the arrangement less financially good for either of us. Meat availability will change on a weekly basis, but if you have a special request for something you don't see you can let us know in the comments section below or give us a call. Coming soon: nitrite free all beef summer sausage!

Beef

All beef is grass fed and finished. We partner with Kowalski farm, Zinniker farm, and Abiding Acres Farm for these products. Summer Sausage coming soon!!!

Ground Lamb

Produced in Jefferson by Rick Mortimor. Raised on pasture using exclusively organic methods. Delicious!

Pork

Most of the pork you eat this winter will come from our herd here at LotFotL, where pigs are fed Certified Organic grains, veggie scraps, and much much more, while living on lush, productive pastures, with an occasional mud pit nearby. Occasionally, we will buy Sakura pork to supplement. Sakura pork is all non-gmo fed and hormone and antibiotic free. We will always notate in the order form anything from Sakura.

Smoked/Cured

Some of the items in this section are listed as "nitrite free." In this case, our butcher is replacing sodium nitrite with celery juice powder and cherry powder, both of which can replicate the function of sodium nitrite in meat preservation. The products will taste very similar to a product smoked or cured with sodium nitrite, and are ready to eat.

Sausage and Ground Pork

I have a limit on some types to encourage you to shop this section more broadly, and also so we can preserve the selection of sausages for as long as possible. Our sausage chef does an excellent job, so these products often fly off the shelf.

Fresh(frozen) Cuts-cook these in any number of ways

Beyond meat-Pork for other uses-AVAILABLE FOR MEATLESS AND FULL SPECTRUM MEMBERS

Cheese

We'll be relying on Cedar Grove and Clock Shadow for our cheese this winter. To give the best selection, there will be both organic and non-organic cheeses available. Read descriptions well if seeking Organic cheese only. Blocks are 8oz packages. Suggested order is 1 block per adult member. Note: for week 1, we have less cheese on hand than hoped for. Do be sure to give us some alternatives in the comment section below, so we can get you something you will enjoy. Thanks:}

Eggs

Eggs are produced for us by Green Fire Farm. Birds have full access to abundant pasture year round, and live in a modern and well tended barn at night. Feed is non gmo. Winter egg laying is not consistent, so we may have to ration eggs, depending on how many we get.
