Volunteer Family Days

Family Volunteer Days

Summer is a great time to schedule a Family Volunteer day at the farm. Our hope is that your family can get to see what it is like to produce food on a farm and experience the pride of helping to tend to the plants and animals that we raise. Plus it is a great way to get to know your farmer.

In the past all volunteers needed to be at least 16 years of age. Family days open a space for our younger members to help and be on the farm.

Casey Lynn is our family volunteer supervisor. She has worked with LotFotL in some capacity for a number of years, be it on the harvest crew, on the delivery truck, or as a volunteer worker herself. She looks forward to working with you and your family when you come out.

How it works:
  • Schedule your volunteer day in advance by filling out the Family Volunteer Form.
  • 2022 Volunteer Days:

May 21st
June 8th
June 22nd
June 15th
July 13th
July 20th

    • On volunteer days our group typically does some kind of weeding or harvesting.  We also take a few minutes at the end of your day to go say hello to the animals.
    • Shifts can be as short as two hours (optimal for groups with children) and we don’t suggest going over four.

NOTE: Covid guidelines may affect who and when we have worker shares or volunteers out on the farm. We will keep people up to date about changes.
